A further step forward in measuring journals’ technological factor

چکیده
A new indicator of technological impact a scientific journal is presented, based on citations in patent applications to papers published that journal. Key characteristics are aggregated by family, and not all considered equal. To each family citation weight assigned proportional the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) countries which protection requested, take into account costs expected benefits patenting, inversely number cited references as way correct for differences frequencies among fields. Around one third journals indexed Scopus have at least from 5-year window. The distribution scores can be modelled power law distribution, with slope being little smoother than common indicators SJR JIF. However, correlations between mostly low or moderate, shows they measure quite different aspects research performance.

A further step forward in measuring journals' scientific prestige: The SJR2 indicator
A new size-independent indicator of scientific journal prestige, the SJR2 indicator, is proposed. This indicator takes into account not only the prestige of the citing scientific journal but also its closeness to the cited journal using the cosine of the angle between the vectors of the two journals' cocitation profiles. To eliminate the size effect, the accumulated prestige is divided by the f...

متن کاملAn Enhanced Flux Treatment in Solving Incompressible Flow in a Forward-Facing Step
The aim of this paper is to give a detailed effect of several parameters such as step height, Reynolds number, contraction ratio, and temperature difference between the entrance and solid boundaries, of a forward-facing step. An accurate length of separation and reattachment zones are achieved. A finite-volume method (FVM) has been developed to study incompressible flow in a forward-facing step...
